Held on October 25–26 at Kitano Nosta in Kobe, this annual event gathers tea masters, tea houses, and creators from across Japan under one roof.

This year marks the third edition of TEA KOBE, a festival dedicated to exploring and reimagining the beauty of tea culture.
Over 14 tea booths and 9 craft and lifestyle vendors will showcase a wide range of teas — from premium Japanese and Chinese teas to herbal and medicinal blends.

Visitors can enjoy exclusive premium tastings, available in limited quantities, offering a chance to savor rare and exquisite tea leaves.

The event also features an interactive “Tea Mystery Challenge,” where participants can explore the venue while solving tea-themed riddles — a fun way to deepen your appreciation of tea culture.
Kobe: A City Steeped in Tea Culture

Known as a port city that embraced Western and Asian influences alike, Kobe has long been associated with refined taste and hospitality.
Its residents — fondly called “Kobe-kko” — have grown up surrounded by patisseries, bakeries, and cafes, where tea time is a cherished ritual.
However, since Kobe is not a tea-producing region, many locals have yet to fully explore the depth of tea pairing and brewing culture.
That’s why TEA KOBE was created — to bridge that gap.
By inviting tea producers, wholesalers, and artisans to share their craft, the event offers visitors a firsthand opportunity to learn about the origins, flavors, and proper ways to enjoy tea.
