How to Get to Meriken Park
Meriken Park is located on Kobe’s waterfront, in the central part of the city.
For most visitors, the easiest way to get there is by train and a short walk.
The park is about a 10-minute walk from JR/Hanshin Motomachi Station, or about an 8-minute walk from Minato Motomachi Station on the Kobe Municipal Subway Kaigan Line.
If you are staying around Sannomiya, take the JR Kobe Line or Hanshin Line to Motomachi Station, then walk south toward the harbor.
You will pass through the city center and gradually feel the atmosphere change as the streets open toward the sea.
From Harborland, you can also walk along the waterfront toward Meriken Park. This route is especially pleasant in the evening, when the lights around Kobe Port begin to turn on.
For the fireworks, try to arrive a little early.
