Kobe Port Tower Reaches One Million Visitors — A Significant Milestone

Fully renovated in spring 2024, Kobe Port Tower has been reborn as a refreshed destination featuring revamped interior design and upgraded observation floors. The renewal has increased its appeal not only among tourists but also among local residents, establishing the tower once again as a must-visit spot.

The rooftop deck, offering sweeping views of the harbor, has become especially popular. The achievement of one million visitors strongly demonstrates the tower’s enhanced drawing power since its renewal.

Ms. Higashi smiles as he expresses his joy at being the one-millionth visitor.

The one-millionth visitor was Ms.Misa Higashi, who visited from Mie Prefecture with a friend.
Surprised by the unexpected announcement, he smiled and said:

“I’m really surprised, but very happy. The last time I came, the tower was under renovation, so I’m glad I was finally able to visit properly. I’m looking forward to enjoying Kobe afterward as well.”

A commemorative gift was presented to him by the tower staff, and the venue was filled with warm applause.

Special Collaboration With Global Girl Group BLACKPINK

Collaboration flags fluttering around the Port Tower.

Coinciding with this celebratory timing, Kobe Port Tower is currently hosting a special collaboration event with the world-renowned girl group BLACKPINK.

The collaboration commemorates the
“BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR <DEADLINE>” Tokyo Dome concerts,
to be held over three days from January 16, 2026.
It is part of a nationwide light-up and exhibition project involving towers across Japan.

BLACKPINK-themed visual displays featured on the rooftop.

The event spans multiple areas of the tower—including the rooftop deck, observation floors (1F–3F and 5F), and the lower-level 1F—transforming the entire building into a space filled with BLACKPINK’s signature aesthetic.

On the rooftop deck, visitors can enjoy large-scale BLACKPINK visuals. As you walk around the circular deck, the displays are designed so that filming your walk produces a video with an “image movie” effect—an immersive experience for fans and non-fans alike.
